Alissa Alteri Shea
Early Childhood Educator
Alissa Alteri Shea is a first-grade teacher at a public school in Western Massachusetts. She grew up in upstate New York and began her teaching career while working with the Jesuit Volunteer Corp in New York City. After teaching kindergarten at PS 257 in the Bronx, she went on to receive her MA in early childhood education from Bank Street College; she is also a Montessori-trained educator. Alissa’s true love is being outdoors in nature, which she is now learning how to bring to her classroom, while taking classes at Antioch New England.
